Moscow to host ‘The Summer of the Swans’

Iranian short film ‘The Summer of the Swans’ has been selected to compete at the 2021 Moscow Kurdish Film Festival.

Directed by Maryam Samadi, the film is about Rasoul, a handicapped boy who can’t go fishing along with other children of his village.

Based on a story he has been told by his grandmother, Rasoulbelieves that his wishes will come true when he sees swans.

The short has participated in several international festivals including Ensenada International Film Festival in Argentina where it won the second prize of the festival.

The Moscow Kurdish Film Festival aims to preserve kurdish identity, language and culture.

The first edition of the Kurdish fest will be held on July 21-25.
